Delighted Coaching was founded by
Dr. Lauren Patterson in 2015 through a series of essay questions during her student tenure under the Summit Bible College Masters program for Christian Counseling. The process laser focused on practical application. In March 2015, prior to graduating the Masters program, Dr. Lauren Patterson opened a sole proprietorship consulting and coaching business with the DBA of Delighted Coaching.
Dr. Patterson continued to work full-time, raise a family, continue her degrees for a double doctorate and run a business part-time. The heart of the company is inspired by her desire to help people form visions for their own lives, businesses, and/or non-profits and help those individuals develop strategies, build core teams and bring their vision to fruition.
In October 2017, Dr. Lauren Patterson left her full-time position with a local farming company and took the leap to run Delighted Coaching full-time. During the same month, Eric A. Merz and Dr. Lauren Patterson circled around the idea of a joint venture aimed at merging two power forces focused on business consulting and coaching.
After nearly one year of weekly strategic planning meetings, Eric A. Merz and Dr. Lauren Patterson formally joined forces and transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a Corporation. In Summer of 2019, they confirmed the integration of a third partner with expectations to announce the third partner December 2019. Delighted Coaching, Inc. is owned and operated out of Bakersfield, California with plans to launch Satellite offices in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida.
