The Delighted Journey was birthed on March 11, 2015, as a sole proprietorship with the dba Delighted Coaching.
In August 2018, Delighted Coaching became a California Corporation.
In November 2021, Delighted Coaching formed an Indiana Corporation and dissolved the California Corporation effective (619) 663-7526. Delighted Coaching, is a woman owned and operated corporation with an operational board, shareholders and silent investors. We have expanded our services across the world, working with clients from many walks of life and industries. Our home office is based out of Boonville, Indiana. We have a satellite office in Greater Houston Texas and strategic partners located in Chicago Metropolitan, and Central Valley California.

Delighted Coaching was founded by Dr. Lauren Burrell in 2015 through a series of essay questions during her student tenure under the Summit Bible College Masters program for Christian Counseling. The original vision of Delighted Coaching was a counseling and coaching center focused on life coaching and biblical counseling. Dr. Lauren Burrell was fueled by her vision to help end the perpetuated cycle of abuse within local communities. Living in Central Valley California, she often wondered why there were so many issues in the community; drugs, crime and homelessness, yet there were dozens of non-profits and local churches competing for the same funding and re-inventing the wheel with programs that impacted a few and never made a real change.
Dr. Lauren's extensive background and education in business and human resource management inspired her to solve the problem by helping businesses write long-term businesses plans that influenced economic development and change within the local communities in which they exist. She believes that long-term plans that include community engagement are the answer to better quality of life within local communities.
Today Delighted Coaching's focus is on stimulating economic development through the growth and sustainability of small businesses, non-profits, joint ventures, and community projects.
With a desire to see local communities harmoniously thrive and prosper, we believe that more can be accomplished when small businesses incorporate commUNITY in their business plans, ensuring that their plans include long-term economic development and growth strategies in the communities they serve.
Delighted Coaching, Inc. has also launched a Global Network of Elite Coaches, Consultants, & Counselors from all around the world, known as Delighted Match.
